Overview

Project – Create logo for a new latin cuisine restaurant. 

Our Logo Design Process – One of the key elements in marketing is a logo: it presents the basis of all the visual identity solutions. Ocho Latin Cuisine wanted to lean into the MesoAmerican culture as that was the inspiration for their cuisine so we dove deep into cultural research, took elements from the MesoAmerican 8, and leaned into the geometrical shapes and symmetry.

The client also wanted to position their brand as classy and sophisticated so we leaned in simplistic fonts for the main word Ocho and utilized a feminine font for the word Latin. Went for pops of color to lean into the sophistication and a plant popular in the region, i.e fuschia. The other colors used were Yellow, Green and Orange. Think nature, sunrise, sunset and beautiful hills. We wanted to transport you to Latin America.

Results

  • Result 1

    Took elements from the MesoAmerican 8, and leaned into the geometrical shapes and symmetry.
